Course Description

Ceramics 2 is a prerequisite to ceramics.  You must take ceramics to take this class.  This is a one-credit semester course in art.  This course outline will include the four components of Discipline-Based Art Education; Art History, Aesthetics, Criticism and Production.  Students will learn basic and hand building techniques and be introduced to wheel throwing.  We will study the history of ceramics and use aesthetics, criticism and theories of art and how they apply to ceramics.
