High School welcomes Anita Jones as the new Art Teacher.
Many will recognize Mrs. Jones from our elementary schools and
she will bring her creativity to the high school. Students are encouraged to use art as a means of
self-expression and communication. Students who experience success in the Arts
are many times students who develop their ability to express
their thoughts and think independently.
Art
is the ability to create.
Being able to create works of art gives many a sense of
achievement and an outlet for their emotions. The
Art classes at Wapahani give students a break from their
normally hectic day, and a chance to learn about the different
mediums available.
