Course Description:

Three Dimensional Art is a prerequisite to Two Dimensional Art.  You must have taken Two Dimensional Art in order to take Three Dimensional Art.

 

This is a one-credit semester course in art.  This course outline will include the four components of Discipline-Based Art Education; Art History, Aesthetics, Criticism and Production. 

This course is designed to explore the three dimensional fundamentals of design, the processes of art, basic art skills and historical concepts in art.  Projects will be designed toward the students' self-examination in problem solving.  Projects also will provide experiences, which will challenge each student's ability to make personal choices, increase his/her sense of self-esteem, expression and motivation.

Small spiral notebook

Pencils

Art Gum eraser/ or soft eraser

 Black fine tip Sharpie Marker

 Set of Watercolors for washes...can be an old set!

 Set of markers

 Colored Pencils
