Course Description:
This is a one-credit semester course in art and a perquisite for all additional art classes. This course outline will include the four components of Discipline-Based Criticism and Production.
This course is designed to explore the fundamentals of design, the processes of art, basic art skills and historical concepts in art. Projects will be designed toward the students' self-examination in problem solving. Projects also will provide experiences, which will challenge each student's ability to make personal choices, increase his/her sense of self-esteem, expression and motivation.

Folder for handout materials
Small spiral notebook
Pencils
Art gum eraser/ or soft eraser
Black fine tip Sharpie marker
Set of Watercolors for washer...can be and old set!
Set of Markers
Colored Pencils
