Pre-Algebra Prerequisite: none Grade: 9-10-11 Credits: Two semesters, two credits (2) Description: Pre-Algebra is designed for students with below average skills in the fundamental operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) with whole numbers, decimals, and fractions; or for those who lack maturity to study algebra. In addition to drilling students on the basic skills, the course includes: manipulations with signed numbers, properties of real numbers, problem-solving applications and solutions of equations with one unknown. Students show expect to spend up to thirty minutes each day in preparation for class. |
