Description:  Designed for the non-college intending student, this course offers a thorough review of arithmetic skills plus coverage of topics from Algebra to Geometry to probability to statistics.  These materials are especially beneficial for students who learn mathematics best in "applied settings" and for students heading for vocational-technical careers.  Algebra is made relevant by showing how the skills are used in the work place and by teaching problem solving through hands-on, activity-centered environments.  This is an Algebra I course conducted over two years.  Students should expect to spend up to thirty minutes each day in preparation for the class.
