Classroom Rules

- Late assignments without a valid excuse will be counted half off. That is absolutely final.

- Always bring the necessary materials for class. I will not provide you with writing utensils, paper, extra textbooks, etc. I will to my best to tell you ahead of time when you will need the textbook.

- Show up on time. If it seems like you are going to be late because of talking to a teacher or an administrator, either have them call me or write you a pass. You will be counted tardy if you don't have a valid excuse.

- When we are having discussions, be sure to remember certain things. Always be courteous of when I am talking or another student is talking. I want us to learn not only from me but from your fellow classmates, and the only way to do this is to cooperate with one another. Also, make sure you are jotting down notes in a notebook used specifically for this class. Some of the points we bring up may be helpful when writing a paper or an essay. I'm leaving this up to you.

- Treat everyone, and that includes me, with respect. I will not tolerate disobedience or disruptive behavior.

- Plagiarism will not be tolerated in the slightest. It will result in a zero.

- Stay on task when I give you time in class to work on assignments, essays, research, etc.

- I will not tolerate any kind of negative comments about people of different races, religions, and/or lifestyles.

I'm looking forward to watching all of you succeed in my class. If you do your work and cooperate, everything should go smoothly for you.
