Safety Contract and

Laboratory Rules

Classroom Rules
1. Be organized (Use assignment notebook).
I expect you to turn in all assignments on time.  If for some
reason you are absent then you are to ask a classmate for
the daily objectives and check the Monday-Friday organizer
for handouts missed due to your absence or request your
work from the office.
You are responsible for missed work.

2. Be prepared everyday.
*Bring to class paper, pencil or pen, and textbook everyday.
Occasionally you will need a glue stick, or calculator
*Bring completed homework assignments.
*Write thoughtful responses in Science Journals.

3. I expect you to be in your seats and quiet when the bell
rings while I take attendance, lunch count, make
announcements, or assign lab groups.

4. I expect no talking while I am talking.
This is common courtesy and I expect you to treat each
other the way you would like to be treated.

5. All assignments must be complete to earn credit. You
will be allowed 1 (one) omitted assignment per 9 weeks.
It is your responsibility to get assignments turned in on
time. Zero will be given if your name is not on the
assignment.

6. Progress reports are sent home according to the school
calendar with current grade earned in the class. All
students earning a D or below must have them signed by
the parent and returned to Mrs. Riggin within one week. A
written warning for an after-school detention will be given
and assigned if not returned.

I have read and understand the rules.
