Objective: Students will improve their ability to pick out important information from a text as well as write notes from a text.

  • Students will work as a whole class to pick out important information from handouts given in Science class and their book.

  • Students will end up with one page of information that they will use to study this week while in their strategy groups.

  • Students will find out which strategy group they will be participating in this week.

  • Students will receive the rubric and look at examples from previous classes.

  • Students will learn what is expected when working on their Root Card project.
