Miss Duckworth

Semester 1, 2007

 

Multiplication Facts: This will be done daily by every student after the bell to start class.  Students have a partner, and will take turns orally testing each other on their multiplication and/or division facts.  Then the students will take a one minute timed test over the facts.  Each student is working at their own level therefore not all students will be on the same facts at the same time.  This will take no more than five minutes, and then the students may begin to work on their assignments.

 

Yates/Hunt/Moran Group:  Students will complete their math assignments from their other math class by asking for help when they do not understand a problem or concept.  The students are able to ask Mrs. Gourley or the two cadet teachers that are in the classroom as well as Miss Duckworth. Mr. Coffman and his cadet teacher will also be available to those students who are working on Mrs. Moran’s math assignments.

 

 

Duckworth Group: Each of the students that only have Miss Duckworth for math are working at their own level and pace.  The students will primarily be working on Accelerated Math assignments, and Miss Duckworth will work with each of them individually on a daily basis.
